THE STORY
A SENSE OF FLOW
ROOFTOP SPA - BREAZZAVILLE
Perched on the rooftop of a renowned international hotel in Brazzaville, this 500-square-metre spa was conceived as an immersive retreat dedicated to well-being, sensory experience, and reconnection with nature.
At the heart of the concept is water—introduced from the very moment of arrival. The presence of water within the entrance hall creates an immediate sense of calm, while cascading waterfalls become an architectural feature, transforming the space into a continuous sensory experience of sound, movement, and reflection.
The architecture follows the same organic language. Soft, flowing curves replace rigid geometries, creating a sense of continuity and movement throughout the interior. Natural wood, micro cement, textured stone, and water are brought together in a restrained palette of warm, earthy tones, allowing the materials themselves to shape the atmosphere.
The main entrance hall forms the focal point of the spa. Its sculptural stone walls and cascading water features evoke the passage of time—as though water and time have slowly engraved the stone, leaving behind a landscape shaped by nature rather than by human intervention.
The result is an architecture of immersion: a quiet sequence of material, light, water, and movement designed to make the transition from the city to a state of well-being almost imperceptible
