THE STORY
WOODEN BOX
Nestled in the mountain village of Fakra, this chalet interior was conceived as a wooden box — floor, ceiling, walls, and cabinetry all wrapped in timber to create a sense of unity and immersion.
Inside this pure and regular volume, a striking deconstructivist bar in black steel and resin disrupts the calm order, acting as the focal point of the space. The project is defined by custom-made elements: the fireplace, kitchen cabinets, bar, tables, sideboards, lighting accessories, TV unit, and even an elevated bed in the bedroom. This tailored approach ensures that every piece belongs to the architectural narrative.
The design merges Scandinavian clarity with a sense of warmth and intimacy. The rigid geometry of the box contrasts with the lightness of voile curtains, bringing softness and movement to the disciplined composition.
